Protect Your Smile for Lifelong Oral Health
A healthy mouth starts with the health of your gums. When the soft tissue in your mouth is inflamed or infected, your teeth are at risk, too. Gums play an integral part in your oral and overall health. Without proper care or treatment, you run the risk of more severe issues including tooth loss and even systemic problems. Dr. Ghina Morad understands this connection between the health of your mouth and the health of your body. When she taught at UOP Dental School, she lectured about the effect of periodontal disease on systemic diseases. She also lectured to the diabetes support group at Sequoia hospital and multiple other groups about the correlation between periodontal disease and high blood pressure, infertility, heart attacks, diabetes and pancreatic cancer among other serious health problems. We offer many periodontal treatments to protect your gums and teeth from periodontal risks and to help you achieve optimal oral health.
Periodontal Services We Offer
Laser Periodontal Therapy
Similar to the Ozone therapy, Perio Protect is a non-surgical treatment using custom-made trays that deliver medication and high oxygen levels into the pockets. The trays act as an oxygen chamber for the gum and aid in killing the toxic bacteria and accelerating the gum healing. Watch Video
A local antibiotic powder placed in the pocket, which forms a thick paste that lasts 28 days, releasing small amounts that can kill the bacteria on a daily basis and help the gum to heal.
